Servicing:
All makes and models of vehicles including commercial vans can be catered for ensuring you receive the correct service that your vehicle requires relating to its age and mileage using the latest Autodata garage software. This software is an expensive item but is essential for us to be able to keep in line with the manufacturers recommended service intervals, ensuring all your manufacturer’s warranty is upheld as we also only fit serviceable parts to the same high standards as original equipment (OE) fitted by the manufacturers.

Prior to 2003 vehicle owners in the EU region risked nullifying their vehicle warranty when the vehicles were serviced or repaired in workshops not belonging to the vehicle manufacturer or its dealers. This barrier was broken in October 2003, when the European Commission (EC) passed a law allowing vehicle owners the freedom of having their servicing and repairs done at their chosen workshop.

Repairs
Our fully qualified Vehicle Technicians with a wealth of experience, will carry out any repair work that is required, from replacing a bulb to a complete engine rebuild.

M.o.T’s:
We cater for Class IV Cars, Class VII commercial up to 3500kg including Large Motor homes. One of our highly experienced testers has more than 34 year experience in the Motor Trade, and other 4 testers with 10-20 years.

Diagnostic:
We have the latest diagnostic fault finding equipment to enable us to code read most vehicles E.C.U.’s (Vehicles computer) and rectify faults within.

Tyres:
We are Burtons only authorised Hankook tyre main agent, Hankook tyres have a huge market in original equipment (OE) to most of the worlds car manufactures, to include:

VW, AUDI, BMW, FORD, HYUNDAI, KIA, MINI, TOYOTA, VAUXHALL, RENAULT, MITSUBISHI

We can also supply any other make of tyre you require. A free valve and computer balance is included in all our quoted prices along with tyre disposal. NO HIDDEN EXTRAS. . Our tyre fitting machine is capable of up to 20” wheels, and is fully fitted with none scratch jaws and head, to prevent damage to Alloy wheels.

Exhausts:
A full range of exhausts are available for all vehicles including catalysts.

Brakes :
We can provide a free of charge visual brake check upon request. We only fit brakes that meet the same high standard as OE fitment

Clutches:
We carry out a lot of clutch and dual mass replacements using only the top manufacturers such as LUK and SACHS

Gearboxes:
Filmers Garage can remove your damaged gearbox and either repair your unit or replace it with a fully reconditioned box.

Wheel Alignment:
We have the latest laser 4 wheel alignment equipment to enable us to align all 4 wheels to within tolerance of the manufacturer’s recommendation, this maximising the lifetime of your tyres.

Air conditioning
We are able to check your air conditiong system and identify any leaks or faults within the system. We are able to restore your system to the same high standard it was when it left the factory, by vacuuming the system thoroughly removing all moisture content then inputting the exact amount of gas required for your system to operate correctly. Our technicians are fully trained in air conditioning and therefore you will receive the best service possible for your vehicle.

It is important that you use your air conditioning throughout the year and not just in the warmer months, when used in the winter or on a rainy day with the temperature set to warm, the air con enables you to demist your windows much quicker than just using your fan setting.

It is recommended you get your air con checked yearly as this prevents poor odour emitting from the vents which can also cause dry or sore throats.

All work carried out at Filmers Garage carries a 12 month or 12,000 miles warranty.
